The Llano Estacado Region is in Zone 9 of the Porsche Club of America. We are the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles, with Amarillo in the approximate center.
Llano Estacado: (Staked Plains) The southern portion of the Great Plains, covering an area of 35,000 square miles in wesern Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The elevation of the Llano Estacado ranges from 2,500 ft (750 m) to more than 4,200ft (1,200m). The land is flat, except for a few eroded river valleys. Average annual precipitation is eighteen to twenty inches.
In other words, we have a lot of flat land with straight roads and no hills:
